Percentage of Correct Consonants in Persian Speaking Children and its Psychometric Features

Objective: This study aimed to introduce PCC scale in Persian speaking children and to investigate its validity and reliability. Methods: This cross- sectional, methodological study was conducted on 387 monolingual Persian speaking boys and girls aged between 3-6 years The instrument for measuring PCC was Phonological Picture naming test which it's Content Validity Ratio (CVR) were assessed by Speech Language Pathologists and linguists. Results: Discriminative and construct validity was confirmed with a significant difference between PCC scores of Children with/without phonological disorders and different age groups Conclusion: The result of this study show that probably the PCC Scale is a reliable and valid instrument for evaluating articulation competence of Persian speaking children in the clinical settings and research projects
