Purpose: In psychology, age and gender are vital factors that affect students’ cognition, mind, and psychological characteristics. Few studies have been conducted to examine the course of evolution of students’ cognitive and psychological characteristics. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the development of character strengths of gifted and normal adolescents in Isfahan City. Method: The research method was causal-comparative, and the statistical population of the research included all normal and gifted adolescents, among whom 320 adolescents (160 gifted adolescents and 160 normal adolescents) were selected by cluster random sampling. The data were collected by Park and Peterson’s (2006) character strength questionnaire. Research hypotheses were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance and correlation. Findings: The results revealed no significant difference between the development of character strengths in gifted and normal students. However, the effect of the level of education was significant in the two groups of gifted and normal students (p=0.001), and the effect of the type of school was also significant (p=0.001); that is, there was a significant difference between character strengths of normal and gifted students was different. Conclusion: Mean comparisons indicated an upward course of evolution of character strengths in both groups of students. In other words, the character strengths increased with the increase in the educational level, yet there was no significant difference between their course of evolution.
