Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mothers' training program based on the developmental Individual- Difference Relationship(DIR) model on reducing attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) problems in preschool children. Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test with control group. The statistical population included all mothers with children aged 4-6 years with symptoms of (ADHD) in Sarakhs. For this purpose, 30 mothers of 4-6 year old boys with (ADHD) symptoms were selected by available sampling method. In order to evaluate the symptoms, the Conner's two-form grading scale (parent and teacher) and clinical interview were used and to assess their intelligence, the third version of Wechsler Children's Intelligence Test was emploued. The mothers were then randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received training based on the integrated developmental approach, while the control group did not receive training. Results: Data analysis using covariance analysis showed that mothers, education program based on the (DIR) -based model reduced attention/hyperactivity problems in preschool boys with ADHD symptoms. Conclusion: It is suggested that (DIR) model be used as a comprehensive and comprehensive model in the treatment of various emotional and behavioral problems
