This study aimed to examine the role of the School Special Program (BVM) in developing professional competencies of special education elementary school teachers in Tehran. The research method was descriptive-correlational, and the statistical population included special education elementary school teachers in Tehran where the School Special Program was implemented. Using Morgan's table, 169 special education teachers were selected. Data were collected using two questionnaires: the School Special Program questionnaire (reliability 0.85) and the Teachers' Professional Development questionnaire (reliability 0.9), both of which were validated for face and content validity. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, linear regression, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used. The results showed a correlation of 0.28 between the School Special Program and the development of professional competencies of special education teachers, with the School Special Program explaining 8 percent of these teachers' professional competency development
