Objective: The purpose of this study was to the effectiveness of compassion-based therapy on social isolation, psychological disturbance and academic boredom of children with learning disabilities. Method: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the study was children with learning disabilities in Dezful city in 2023. The sample size of the study included 30 of these children, who were selected by available sampling method and according to the study entry and exit criteria. The experimental group received eight 90-minute weekly sessions of the educational intervention. The questionnaires used in this research included social isolation, psychological disturbance and academic boredom. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis of covariance using SPSS version 22 software. Results: The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of social isolation, psychological disturbance and academic boredom (p<0.001). In other words, compassion-based therapy improved social isolation, psychological disturbance, and academic burnout. Conclusion: According to the findings of the present study, compassion-based intervention can be suggested as an effective method to increase social isolation, psychological disturbance, and academic boredom in children with learning disabilities
