Abstract:   (566 Views)
Objective: The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of remote attention and memory cognitive rehabilitation on working memory and selective attention in children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Method: The research had a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design. The statistical population included all ADHD children aged 8-12 years with learning disorder referring to counseling centers in Tehran in 2021. Overall, 15 ADHD children with learning disorder and 15 children without learning disorder were selected by purposive sampling method. The experiment group received cognitive rehabilitation of memory and attention (Najati, 2020) during 10 sessions of 60-75 minutes. Strop Test (ST) and Kirchner Working Memory Test (N-Back) were used. The data were analyzed through multivariate analysis of variance via the SPSS24 software. Results: The results showed that remote attention and memory cognitive rehabilitation had an effect on working memory and selective attention of ADHD children with special learning disorder (P<0.001). However, this training had no effect on the selective attention of ADHD children with special learning disorder (P<0.09). Conclusion: Based on the research results, it is suggested to use the used training method to improve attention and concentration, and reduce the behavioral problems of these children.
