Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of a short-term solution-oriented program on the psychological distress of students with visual impairment. Method:In terms of practical purpose, this research was conducted in a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up design with a control group. The statistical population included all students with visual impairment in Yasouj city, 20 of whom were selected by convenience sampling from Shaghaygh school and were randomly replaced in a control group and an experimental group of 10 people. The short-term solution-oriented program was presented to the experimental group during eight sessions, while the control group did not receive any treatment until the end of the follow-up phase. Subjects were evaluated using Lovibond and Lovibond Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (1995). The data was analyzed using the mixed analysis of variance test in SPSS software(version 26).Result: The findings indicated that the short-term solution-oriented program in the post-test and follow-up stages had a positive and significant effect on depression, anxiety and stress of students with visual impairment (P = 0.001). Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that the short-term solution-oriented program improves the psychological distress of students with visual impairment, and this program can be used in special schools for students with visual impairment.
