Evaluation ten aspects of couple satisfaction in parents of Autism children

Abstract:

Aim: this research aim was to explore strength of marital satisfaction's ten factors in parents with autistic children. This is a descriptive research .

Method: The research population was parents' of all pre-school and elementary school pupils who are autistic in Mashhad in 2013-2014 school year. The sample which was chosen by availability consists of 95 couples. Afrooz marital satisfaction questionnaire was applied. the data were analyzed by means of variance analysis, t- test and freedman test.

Results: the results indicated that there are meaningful differences in ideally thinking, personal behaviors, problem solving, emotional exchange and marital satisfaction between mothers and fathers, and the mothers scored higher than their husbands. also the rate of satisfaction in parents was lower than average. the best factor in both men and women was personal behaviors and the worst one was problem solving.

conclusion: the research findings did suggest that the education packages for parents with autistic children are necessary   in order to use in treatments.
