Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of emotional competence training in executive functions, cognitive regulation of emotion, and resilience in children with hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder. Methods: It was a semi-experimental research with a pre-test, post-test, and follow-up design with a control group. The statistical population included all elementary school boys in Alborz province with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, 20 of whom were randomly selected and placed in two experimental and control groups. Competence training was conducted on the experimental group during 10 sessions of 60 minutes. research tools include. Coolidge's Neurocognitive Questionnaire (2002), Granofsky's cognitive emotion regulation Questionnaire, Craig and Spinhaven's (2001), Connor and Davidson's Resilience Questionnaire (2003). The research data were analyzed through analysis of variance with repeated measurements and by SPSS-26 software. Findings: The results of the research showed that emotional competence training was effective in part of the executive functions, resilience, and cognitive regulation of emotions of children with hyperactivity and attention deficit in the experimental group. Conclusion: Therefore it can be stated that the executive functions, resilience, and cognitive regulation of emotions of children with hyperactivity and attention deficit can be improved by training, and also this method can be used as an intervention in reducing the clinical symptoms of ADHD children.
