fa تغییر اصطلاح شناسی عقب ماندگی ذهنی به کم توانی ذهنی تخصصي Special كاربردي Applicable <p dir="RTL"><strong>هدف</strong>: هدف این مقاله بررسی فرایند و ضرورت تحول در اصطلاح شناسی عقب ماندگی ذهنی/کم‌توانی ذهنی و همچنین ملاحظه‌های مربوط به آن است. <strong>روش:</strong> روش این تحقیق بررسی مقاله‌های مرتبط و ترجمه بیانیه انجمن کم‌توانی ذهنی و رشدی امریکا (<span dir="LTR">AAIDD</span>) در رابطه با دلایل تغییر اصطلاح شناسی عقب‌ماندگی ذهنی به کم‌توانی ذهنی است. <strong>یافته‌ها و نتیجه‌گیری:</strong> مفهوم و اصطلاح‌شناسی &laquo;عقب‌ماندگی ذهنی&raquo; تغییر و تحولات فراوانی داشته است. امروزه، اصطلاح &laquo;کم‌توانی ذهنی&raquo; &nbsp;به جای &laquo;عقب‌ماندگی ذهنی&raquo; ترجیح داده می‌شود ولی تعریف و فرضهای کلی پیشین به قوت خود باقی می‌ماند. اصطلاح کم‌توانی ذهنی همان جمعیتی راتحت پوشش قرار می‌دهد که اصطلاح عقب‌ماندگی ذهنی قبلاً از نظر تعداد، نوع، گروه، دوره ناتوانی، و نیاز به خدمات و حمایتهای انفرادی، پوشش می‌داد. افزون براین، هر فردی که در گذشته واجد شرایط عقب‌ماندگی ذهنی بود، با اصطلاح کم‌توانی ذهنی نیز همچنان واجد شرایط است.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: This article reviews the process and the considerations on mental retardation terminology change to <em>intellectual disability</em> (ID), and how ID fits within the general construct of disability. <strong>Method:</strong> Some related sources were reviewed, and the <em>Perspective</em> paper (Schalock <em>et al</em>., 2007) was translated into Persian and added to the article. <strong>Results and Conclusion:</strong> Increasingly, the term ID is being used instead of mental retardation. The term covers the same population of individuals who were diagnosed previously with mental retardation in number, level, kind, type and duration of the disability and the need of people with this disability for individualized services and supports. This transition has been supported by many organizations.
