Objective: This research compared linguistic characteristics in gifted and non-gifted female students in 1st to 3rd elementary graders in Isfahan. Method: The sample was selected by multiphasic sampling from different educational areas in Isfahan. The sample included 60 gifted and 60 normal students ageing 6 to 8:11, and were evaluated by Cattell Intelligence Test - A form. Linguistic characteristics were measured by Test of Language Development. Results: The data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The analysis of results demonstrated that there was significant difference in linguistic characteristics between two groups (P< 0/0001). Conclusion: The results are discussed theoretically, and some clinical implications have been suggested.
