Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the confirmatory factor structure of the Beach Center Family Quality of life Scale in families of children with developmental (autism spectrum, ADHD, and mental disability) and non-developmental (visual and hearing impairment) disorders in Ahvaz, Iran. Method: This study was a psychometric analysis of the methodological research type in which 207 families of children with developmental and non-developmental disorders were chosen by purposive sampling and based in inclusion criteria, and completed Beach Center's Quality of Family Life Scale. The data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis in AMOS. Results: The results confirmed the five-factor model of family interactions, parenting, emotional well-being, physical/material well-being, disability-related support, and the one-factor model. The Cronbach's alpha was 0.93 for the entire scale and 0.73 to 0.86, respectively, for the first to fifth factors. Moreover, the correlation coefficients of each item with the total score of the scale ranged from 0.47 to 0.74, and the convergent validity coefficient of the scale was 0.64 with Family Resources and 0.59 with APGAR Family Functioning Scales, which were significant. Conclusion: According to the findings, the Beach Center Family Quality of life Scale can be applied in research activities and counseling for families of children with developmental and non-developmental disorders.
